Wise   was   founded   in   2011   with   a   clear   mission   —   money   without   borders   —   instant, convenient,   transparent,   and   eventually   free.   We’ve   built   a   market-leading   technology product that’s been used by over 10 million people to move money around the world without the   rip-off   fees   charged   by   the   banks.   We’re   disrupting   the   world   of   currency   and international money transfer. We are growing rapidly around the world and as a publicly listed company we need to make sure that we are managing our relationships with the capital markets effectively.

As Manager, Investor Relations, you will help shape the narrative and perception of Wise.  You will be responsible for planning and implementing a first class program of engagement with current and prospective owners of Wise via direct interaction, our website, annual report, financial announcements and the analyst community.  You’ll contribute to the achievement of our mission – money without borders, through increasing the understanding and conviction in our mission among retail and institutional owners. You’ll be a key part of the Investor Relations team as we evolve to meet the needs of our many stakeholders, operating in a way consistent with Wise’s culture and values, and being seen as an expert in communication and financial reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll lead the conversation with analysts and investors to ensure a sound understanding and support of our mission
  • You’ll work with other senior leaders to shape the story of Wise, underpinning this with relevant key messages, and disclosure of strategic and financial information
  • Work with colleagues on the design and production of effective publications and presentations for periodic reporting to the market including the Annual Report
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with the sell-side analyst community, actively managing expectations to ensure that the market consensus remains relevant relative to performance and guidance
  • Undertake a program of investor engagement from proactive targeting of investors to executing a schedule of meetings via Zoom or in person.
  • Support in the oversight of our US ADR program and other relevant projects such as OwnWise.
  • Develop the Investor Relations website to keep it current, engaging and informative for investors and other stakeholders.
  • Explain share price movements to senior management as required, in addition to the creation of regular reports on market-related news and developments.
  • You’ll be using G suite and Slack, as well as CRM system Miraqle.

A bit about you:

  • This role will benefit from someone with experience in investor relations, finance, or communications roles, especially from within the finance, tech or fin-tech sectors.
  • You are an adaptable self-starter – someone who can use their own initiative to keep things running at pace and won’t wait for answers
  • You don’t have to be a qualified accountant or financial analyst. It helps, but a sound understanding and ability to explain financial statements is what we’re looking for.
  • You are resilient and curious by nature – you like flipping ambiguity, failures and set-backs in their head by actually using them as learning opportunities
  • Building relationships with colleagues, investors and analysts is an essential part of this role and demonstrable experience of developing strong and effective relationships is important.
  • You are a confident communicator and influencer, comfortable talking to people of any level, whether it’s in person, on the phone or in writing. You understand how best to adapt your approach to your audience

We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the   best   people,   no   matter   their   background.   So   if   you’re   passionate   about   learning   new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in.

And because we believe  that diverse teams build better products, we’d especially love to hear from you if you’re from an under-represented demographic.
