We’re looking for a HR Project Specialist with change management experience to join our growing People function. This role is based in Tallinn and sits within the newly formed People Programmes and Experience team which is responsible for helping to build a high performing people function driving an exceptional colleague experience.
We want to bring to life the principles by which we drive our external product and offerings – transparent, convenient, fast and eventually free- to our people products too; and the People project specialist role will be critical in helping us to do that. Reporting to the Global Head of People Programmes and Experience (based in London), this role will partner across the entire People function to successfully drive high impact global projects, as well as to embed and continuously improve project delivery in the People function.
This isn’t a job for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. Instead this role would suit someone who wants to collaborate to solve problems, help build something new and work at pace. It’s also a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission, support our employees through their Wise journey and help save our customers millions.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the People Programmes and Experience team.
- Build and maintain close trusted partnerships across the People team to enable collaboration, delivery and success on all People projects
- Project manage some of the biggest and most impactful people projects and programmes directly to ensure they are delivered successfully
- Provide project management support and advice across the entire people projects portfolio
- Partner across the people function to increase the project management capability of the People team through delivering and developing training, implementing project management toolkits and leading a project management community of practice
- Drive, embed and continuously improve the project and programme management processes and governance structures that are being put in place to improve project delivery within the function. Including (but not limited to) tracking and monitoring processes, project initiation processes, board reporting processes
- Help the people team and Leads to identify and recommend areas, where they should be focusing next in addition to helping prioritise projects
- Hold the People Team and their stakeholders to account when it comes to projects, their planning and deliverables, making sure we remain on track as a function
- Support (where required) project change management and communications from planning through to execution to ensure alignment across project change and communication activities
This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Choose your path to impact – we believe in empowered teams. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls
- Develop as part of a new and exciting team – the People programmes and experience team is a new, small, central team that has the privilege of working across the entire People function on high impact global projects; you will be an integral part of the teams’ formation and have lots of opportunity to input into how it evolves
- Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new normal
About you:
- You are passionate about good project management – you’ll be strongly solutions focused, able to identify problems and drive initiatives that have measurable impact. You will be able to tailor the project environments you create to the setting you are in. You will have project management experience, and ideally a recognised project/programme or portfolio management qualification
- You have a solid grounding in change management and communication – you’re great at guiding the business through change and amazing at communicating effectively and thoughtfully varying your style based on the circumstance
- You are data driven – you’ll base decisions on metrics and have clear KPIs for all your plans
- You have a collaborative mindset – you are excellent at working across functions, able to bring people together to achieve a common goal
- You think ‘globally’ – you’re experienced supporting leaders and employees split across geographies and timezones
- Creative problem solver – we are not a ‘one size fits all’ kind of business and we’re not looking for ‘off the shelf’ solutions; we need you to think creatively and be flexible in your outlook
- You have experience of, or interest in, working in the ‘People’ space – you have managed People projects before, or you have a strong interest in doing so
Some extra skills that would be great:
- You might have used jira for project/programme/portfolio planning before
- You might have a change management qualification
- You might have worked in a high growth, product or service led (ideally tech) company
We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in.
Also, where and what you studied isn’t important to us. If you’ve got great experience, the right skills for the role and you’re great at articulating your thinking, we’d like to hear from you.
