We’re looking for a Head of Business Development, APAC to join our fast growing Wise Platform team in Singapore.  You’ll help banks, software companies and large enterprises leverage Wise’s infrastructure to offer their customers world class payments products through their own channels.

This will help us transform the international payments experience for even more customers and have a significant impact on Wise’s mission.

About the Wise Platform squad:

Wise Platform is a start-up within a scale up.  We’re a cross functional team across business development, account management, product, engineering, compliance, analytics and many other other functions.  We’re based across the world – from Singapore to London, to New York and beyond. We refer to our clients as “Partners”, to reflect our joint collaboration in helping them achieve their business objectives.

We’re looking for someone with experience building, developing and scaling high performance sales teams in APAC, by defining and executing a successful go-to-market strategy, with a particular focus on bringing sales excellence to the team.

What you’ll do:

  • As the Head of Business Development, APAC, you will lead and coach a team of high-performing Business Development Managers, working toward ambitious goals to deliver predictable revenue and growth across the APAC region at Wise
  • You will be hands on to support our partner focus – whether this is helping teams shape account plans with partners, leading partner pitches, helping negotiate partner requirements or supporting the process of getting partners live
  • You will build deep executive level relationships with senior partner stakeholders partners  and industry thought leaders.
  • As a senior leader, you will lead by example in working cross functionally and operating at the highest level in a matrix organisation, liaising across teams such as product, engineering, customer support and operations, to shape market leading products and experiences for our partners


This role will give you the opportunity to:  

  • Drive transformational change needed to achieve our growth objectives, informed by deep industry and product expertise.
  • Work on one of the biggest levers of our mission.  We are able to get closer of our mission of moving the worlds money through the bank and non bank partners that our Business Development team signs. 
  • Be flexible in how and where you work, we understand that everyone needs a little something different so we’ll do our best to make it happen.


A bit about you

  • We are looking for an executive who has a proven track record of building teams and  delivering  outstanding results with a customer first obsession for the long term. 
  • A leader who thrives on dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment and solving complicated problems. 
  • Ideal candidates will have APAC sales management and leadership experience bringing new products to market, developing GTM strategy, scaling  high performing teams
  • You’re able to set strategy, dream big and help teams deliver against these, building consensus across multiple functions, even where competing priorities exist.
  • You have fresh ideas – You’re prepared to challenge the status quo and are interested in solving problems in novel ways. You are able to communicate the impact of those ideas and formulate plans to implement them
  • You’re an excellent, influential communicator. You can adapt your communication style to different audiences. You’re able to persuade others and you aren’t afraid to challenge something when you need to.
  • You’re able to develop deep and trusted relationships at C level with Partners, becoming a trusted advisor while helping shape Wise Platform’s  product roadmap by sharing insights to the organisation on Partner feedback and industry insights.
