Wise is one of the fastest growing companies in fintech, and we’re on a mission to make money without borders the new normal. We’ve got 16 million customers across the globe and we’re growing. Fast.
Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply.
So, we’re building a new one.
And, we need a talented Senior iOS Engineer, based in our Austin office (with a flexible combined in-office and WFH approach), to join our mission.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the North America team:
- You’ll help build features and experiences aimed at achieving great market fit in the North America region.
- You’ll prioritize and build out capabilities and features for our North America customers across our mobile platforms that have the most value and impact for them.
- You’ll be an excellent communicator and advocate for our North America customers and product, helping to share across this region as well as across our global team at Wise.
- You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the solutions you build scale and fit well in order to achieve a high quality global product. This can mean focus on proposing / adopting new architectures, fixing bugs, or reworking user experiences that aren’t fit for purpose.
Is that you?
- Capable and independent iOS engineer with ~5+ years of experience
- Experience with UI Kit
- Knowledgeable about product engineering (or have the desire to learn it)
- Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Experience with building iOS apps that delight users
- Full-stack iOS development (we work in small teams, each with one or two mobile engineers, it’s likely you’ll be in charge of a feature from API to UI)
- Know SOLID ways to implement clean architecture, writing readable code that is testable (we currently work with VIPER but are continuously evaluating the latest architectures/methodologies – SwiftUI and Combine are nice to have)
- We value experience with state-of-art technologies, but we value eagerness to learn them even more
…but don’t worry we don’t expect you to know everything!
What does success look like?
- You’ll understand our customers and drive the growth of our mobile users
- You’ll be helping us ensure reliability of our app
- You’ll be working to reduce the number of contacts to our customer support due to app problems
- You’ll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team and tribe vision and how you can contribute
