Wise is one the fastest growing companies in Europe and we’re on a mission: to make money without borders the new normal. We’ve got over 16 million customers across the globe and we’re growing. Fast.
Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply.
So, we’re building a new one.
And, we need a Senior Backend Engineer to join our mission and help us build a global platform that’s scalable, reliable and secure. We’re working on lots of exciting challenges, and you’ll dive right into projects helping consumers and businesses receive and send money from anywhere in the world.
Team you will be working with: Account Experience within the Account squad
The Account Squad aims to build the world’s most international account, saving customers time and money wherever they live, so they can spend like a local, anywhere. To achieve this, we are building global infrastructure to send, spend, receive, hold and invest money.
Account experience sits within the squad and is responsible for driving engagement and helping customers get the most out of their Wise Account. Features are designed to drive convenience, multi-product adoption and retention. This means levelling up the quality of existing experiences and building entirely new ones. The domain area the team owns is broad, so there’s plenty of opportunity. We own the homepage and the activities view (history of all your activities on wise – card payments, transfers etc), card page and much more, across web & mobile. At a technical level, the team maintains some of the key infrastructure powering the wise account – such as the system storing and serving all transactional information for customers.
