Step 2 - Interview

Chat to one of our Recruiters

Your first touchpoint will be one of our friendly Recruiters.

This will be a phone conversation where we will ask a few questions about your experience and motivations.

We'll also tell you some more about the role and the next steps.

Top tip: Remember to familiarise yourself with the job description and Wise. Check our our blogs, Linkedin, Instagram and YouTube.

Meet the team

Now it’s time for you to meet the team that you’ll be working with.

This is an opportunity for you to meet those you'll be working with, including team members and your Lead to give you more details about the role, what your day-to-day looks like and the impact you can have.

During the interview you will be asked a series of open-ended questions and scenario based questions, to get to know your decision making process and how you like to work. Our teams will also be assessing for values fit.

Our interviews are most likely to take place over Zoom, but we can try our best to arrange in person interviews if you’d prefer.

Top tip: Come prepared to answer more detailed questions about how your experience relates to the role. This is also your chance to ask questions.

Technical tests

Depending on what role you have applied for, in some cases you might be asked to complete a case study, take home challenge or technical test. Your Recruiter will prepare you with all the information you need to know and share a detailed brief for you to follow.

Example: If you’re interviewing for a Software Engineering position then we may ask you to complete a paired coding exercise.

Questions?

Heading

We’re all about you being your true, authentic self during the interview.

We recommend you familiarise yourself with the job description and reflect on how your skills and experience align with it. Take a look into our values and mission and what we're all about too. We’d love to hear about a situation where you’ve achieved impact. And of course, we’re curious about what’s motivated you to apply to Wise. These are the kinds of questions you can expect from us throughout the interview process.

Remember, the interview is like a two-way street, so be sure to have some questions ready for the team too.

We understand that feedback is important for personal and professional growth.

After the interview, your Recruiter will be in touch to discuss the next steps and feedback. While we assess candidates against agreed upon criteria, due to company policy, we unfortunately can’t provide specific written feedback to you about your interview. Rest assured though, we’ll do our best to provide feedback where possible and are here to answer any questions.

Our interviews mostly take place over Zoom, however, some interviewers will request in-person interviews. If you’d prefer to come and meet our teams in person just ask your Recruiter and we will do our best to accommodate.

Please reach out to your Recruiter if you require any accommodations and we’ll do our best to help.
