Personal development: There’s no shortage of learning opportunities at Wise and it’s up to you to choose where you want to develop your skills. That’s why all our employees have a dedicated yearly allowance to boost their professional development.
Pension: You can start saving towards your retirement with our contributory pension plan. When you contribute 3% upwards, Wise will contribute 5% on top of that.
Transportation support: You can save on transport costs to and from work with our Travel Season Ticket Loan.
Local retail and food discounts: All employees who work in the Tea Building get access to a LoyalTEA discount card, offering retail and food discounts across the buzzing streets of Shoreditch.

Taking care of your family
Parental leave: Family comes first and we don’t want people to miss out on any of the special, important moments.
So we offer:
- 26 weeks maternity leave at full pay, plus an additional 13 weeks at statutory maternity pay
- 18 weeks with full pay for paternity leave
- 10 days leave on full pay for any Wisers affected by pregnancy loss, including those who are partners or surrogate mothers.
Health and wellbeing
Annual leave: We’ll give you 33 days of annual leave (including local public holidays) per year to rest, relax and recharge your batteries.
Paid sabbatical: To reward the time and effort you’ll put into Wise after 4 years working here, you’ll have the option to take 6-weeks paid time off and £1,000 financial support in addition to your annual leave.
‘Me days’:3 ‘me days’ per year to help them manage life — this can be used for life admin, when the world becomes a little too much, or for errands like vet visits.
Hybrid working: Our employees can work remotely for 90 days a year. By ‘remote’ we don’t just mean from home, but from wherever in the world you choose*. In addition to that, employees can choose to work from home too. Find out more about our hybrid way of working.

Compassionate leave: We try our best to help our employees balance their work life with their personal/family life. There may be times when you need to care for another, have a family emergency that you weren’t expecting, or a bereavement. Compassionate leave is in place to use in these situations and covers up to 5 paid days per calendar year.
Employee Assistance Programme: Our assistance programme provides 24/7 expert guidance and specialist support on any issue, from everyday matters to more serious problems that affect our employee’s wellbeing. Available online, over the phone and face to face, it’s free for all employees and confidential.
Paid sick leave: From day 1 you’ll receive full pay for the first 15 sick days you take in any rolling 12-month period.
Private medical insurance: We provide a private medical coverage plan where the only cost for you is any excess/co-pay amount (currently £100 per year) and the associated tax. You’re also able to opt in your partner or family for an additional fee.
Our comprehensive Private Medical Insurance plan offers Virtual GP services free of charge. This gives you access to primary healthcare from the comfort of your own home and most can deliver medication to your door.
Cycle to work scheme: Want to get in your exercise and cycle around town on a new ride? You’re able to hire a brand new bike along with equipment and spread the cost over 12-months (deductions are taken from your monthly pay) while making savings on tax and National Insurance.
Eyecare vouchers: Check your eye health and eye sight, as well as get access to free glasses and 15% discount on upgrades. Eyecare vouchers can be used at a number of optical stores nationwide.
Travel insurance: Get protection for you and your family for unlimited trips. Winter sports and scuba diving are included, as well as access to a 24-hour emergency telephone helpline.
Gym membership: Make the most of discounted membership at over 3,000 of the UK’s leading gym chains, leisure centres, hotel health clubs, independent gyms, boot camps and yoga studios.
Health and wellbeing discounts via AXA: As an added perk to our medical insurance, we have a platform which provides discounts on health and wellbeing products.
Volunteering day off: All full-time, active employees are provided 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time on an annual basis.
A home away from home
Food and drinks: To start your day we provide all our employees in London with breakfast which offers coffee, teas, toast, cereals and more to get your brain cells up and running. When you’re craving a snack, you can also find a variety of treats and drinks in our kitchen.
Games area: Beat your colleagues with your table tennis and football skills or just relax on our console games.
